- Russian Armed Forces attack aircraft told about the fulfillment of tasks in Nikolayevo-Darynoye
The Russian military managed to get a scheme of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) stronghold and other trophies during the liberation of Nikolayevo-Daryino in Kursk Region. This was reported by a correspondent of "Izvestia" on January 27.
It is noted that most often Russian military find American automatic rifles and machine guns in the positions recaptured from the enemy. But there are also such trophies as flash cards containing important data on the number of AFU grouping in Kursk region.
The fighters also managed to get a scheme of the stronghold, which shows how the enemy's circular defense is organized, and a book of weapons issuance, where all the nomenclatures of weapons used by the AFU are recorded.
"We looked at where their strongholds were located, in which houses. Our allies from another company were there. <...> They (the AFU - Ed.) did not think that we would just come and take everything by storm like this," said a storm trooper with the call sign Kadet.
Another storm trooper with the call sign Shket told about the behavior of the AFU fighters during the assault.
"At the time of the assault I saw them running away: they just abandoned their positions. They are afraid," he said in a conversation with Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak.
The liberation of Nikolayevo-Daryino by the fighters of the "North" group was reported earlier in the day. It was noted that three AFU military men surrendered as prisoners of war.
The Ukrainian military attacked the positions of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
