People's Front volunteers deliver humanitarian aid to Kurakhovo, DNR


People's Front volunteers have delivered humanitarian aid to the liberated town of Kurakhove in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported in the press service of the movement on January 27.
"Brought people humanitarian kits, generators, heaters. The local population has organized a special aid station. People here charge batteries for flashlights and phones. We will help to connect generators to water pumps to enable uninterrupted drinking water. The residents are very much looking forward to us. We try to bring everything we need," - said the representative of the movement Dmitry Patrin.
It is noted that the volunteers delivered about 100 food packages, six heating guns, as well as six generators. It is specified that the front line was only 10 km from the liberated city.
Before that, on January 15, volunteers of the "Popular front" delivered humanitarian aid to the liberated cities of the DNR. The activists brought 120 food packages and two gasoline generators to Hornyak and Ukrainsk. 40 food packages were delivered to the village of Galitsynivka.
The Russian Defense Ministry reportedabout the liberation of Kurakhove by the Russian military on January 6. The ministry said that it was the largest town in southwestern Donbas. During the fighting to liberate the settlement, the AFU lost more than 12,000 people and about 3,000 weapons and military equipment.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
