Russians told about plans for repairs in 2025

Almost a third of Russians (30%) plan to start renovation in 2025. Approximately the same number (28%) intend to continue the work in the apartment, started earlier, as noted in a joint study of the services "Repair with SberServices" and "Domklik".

The survey involved more than 2 thousand Russians from all regions of the country. 42% of respondents noted that in the near future are not going to update the interior of housing. At the same time, 61% of respondents said that they have been planning renovation for more than half a year. The main reason for delaying the start of work was the financial issue (59%). It is followed by lack of time (41%) and other priorities (28%). Only 9% have difficulties with design and planning.

In terms of contractor involvement, the most common option among respondents is partial involvement (40%), indicating a desire to combine independent work with professional assistance for complex or time-consuming tasks. 32% plan to have contractors do all the work. 28% will do the repairs themselves (19%), or call relatives and friends for help (9%).

Speaking about the timing of the repair, 9% of respondents believe that it will take a week or less. 30% estimate the time it will take two to three weeks. Somewhat fewer survey participants expect a period of one to two months (22%). A longer repair, from three to four months, is expected by 15% of respondents. 4% expect four months or more, and another 9% believe that the repair will take six months or more. And 11% are sure that it is almost an endless process: you can only suspend it for a while and then start to improve something again.

Service experts also assessed in which regions buyers are actively interested in ready-made apartments despite high mortgage rates. The Chechen Republic is the leader in terms of the share of the secondary market, where the share of ready apartments in the total volume of mortgage loans amounted to 65.1%. It is followed by the Tomsk Region (49.7%) and the Amur Region (46.9%).
