Russians have become more interested in "non-Black Sea" destinations

With the end of the New Year vacations Russians actively began to plan vacations for 2025. At the same time, compared to last year in January, the rates of summer vacation bookings in Dagestan, Kaliningrad Region, Primorsky Krai, Baikal and Altai increased the most. Demand for "non-Black Sea holidays" in general increased by 18%, according to the data of the national tour operator "Alean", which were reviewed by "Izvestia" on January 28.
At the same time, the Black Sea resorts of Krasnodar Territory and Crimea are the leaders in terms of the volume of bookings of summer tours in Russia, made after the New Year vacations. They account for 59% of bookings (Sochi - 27%, Gelendzhik - 10%, Anapa - 6%, Tuapse - 5%, Crimea -11%).
In addition, vacation prices have increased between 10-20% relative to last year.
"One of the noticeable trends in bookings for the summer after the New Year vacations is the growing demand for "non-Black Sea destinations": in January, compared to the same period last year, the demand for them increased by 18%. There is a growing interest not only in beach destinations - the Caspian, Baltic and Japanese seas - but also in health tours to sanatoriums of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, the Moscow region and the middle belt, as well as in excursion tours to Baikal, the Altai Mountains, the North Caucasus, Kamchatka", - said the commercial director of the national tour operator "Alean" Oksana Bulakh.
According to experts, there is the most significant growth of summer tour bookings in Dagestan: in January 2025 the number of requests for hotels of different price segment of the republic has increased three times. Vacationers on the Caspian coast have access to sand and shell beaches: in Makhachkala - the central city beach, the beach "Black Stones", "Berezka", "Oasis", in Derbent - "Kosa", "Briz", in Izberbash - city and "Zavodskoy" beach, "Laguna" in Kaspiysk and others.
In addition, in January the demand for summer vacation in the Kaliningrad region increased by 33%. Last summer season 17 beaches were equipped in the region. The most popular beaches with a wide sandy strip are located in Yantarny: "Yantarny" and "Tsentralny" were awarded the "Blue Flag" award, which marks beaches with developed infrastructure and clean water.
According to the tour operator's information, the demand for June-August tours to Primorsky Krai increased by 45% over January. Here the bathing season starts in the middle of June. Beach lovers go to the sandy beach Shamora in Vladivostok. Also popular: the beach of Steklyannaya Bay, studded with colorful glass "pebbles", and the beach Livadia in Nakhodka.
In addition, the demand for summer vacations in Baikal in January has doubled, for trips to sanatoriums of Caucasian Mineral Waters - by 15%. Increased interest of travelers tours to Altai - both for trips to health resorts Belokurikha, and hotels in the Altai Mountains and sightseeing tours: +16% of bookings for the summer, made after the New Year vacations compared to the same periods last year.
Earlier, on January 14, it was reported that in February more tourists will go on trips around the country. This follows from the data of OneTwoTrip travel planning service. Thus, the share of hotel bookings in Russia for the year increased by 8% and is 43%. Moscow, Esto-Sadok, St. Petersburg became the most popular cities for tourists.
