- The Russian Prosecutor General's Office recognized the French NGO Institute of Philosophy as undesirable

The Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of the French non-governmental organization Independent Institute of Philosophy (Institut de philosophie indépendante, "Independent Institute of Philosophy") undesirable in Russia, the agency's website reported on January 27.
The decision was based on the results of the inspection of the foreign NGO, which was established in 2023 in Paris.
It is noted that in order to join the so-called institute community of humanities scholars need to be opponents of a special military operation. The structure also organizes and holds conferences at which persons with Russophobic and anti-Russian ideas and views speak, specified in the Prosecutor General's office.
According to the media, the organization is headed by Yulia Sineokaya, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who is recognized in Russia as a foreign agent and lives abroad.
Earlier, on January 16, the activities of the Canadian NGO OpenText Corporation, founded in 1991, were recognized as undesirable in Russia. Currently, the organization is a contractor of the Pentagon as a software developer, while its British division provides Ukrainian security agencies with software and services required during the collection of data for strikes against Russian troops and infrastructure.
