In Great Britain, police officers in the counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire introduced a ban on the use of sentences with the word "black" to avoid accusations of racism. This was reported on January 26 by the British newspaper Daily Telegraph.

"The document <...> prescribes that such terms show certain groups as inferior or superior to others," - stated in the material.

According to the newspaper, the ban highlights such phrases as "blacklist" (blacklist), "black mark" (black mark) and "lousy sheep" (black sheep).

In addition, it has been recommended to use in speech "pregnant person" instead of "pregnant woman", as well as to call couples in marriage not husband and wife, but partners.

Back in March last year, it became known that racial discrimination against blacks and Gypsies and systemic racism towards ethnic minorities persisted in the UK. It was reported that clear inequalities due to systemic racism, disproportionate and discriminatory treatment" were directed towards people of African descent and other ethnic minorities by the British police.
