The suspect in the murder of a mother and two children in the Republic of Mari El has been arrested. This was reported by the Izvestiya correspondent from the courtroom on January 27.

According to him, the man is remanded in custody for two months, until March 25.

In addition, during the meeting it was established that the man committed the crime out of jealousy, noted the interlocutor of the publication. It is also specified that the suspect took Br40 thousand from the deceased.

The murder of a woman and two children in Mari El became known on January 25. The murdered were found in an apartment in the town of Zvenigovo with stab wounds. A criminal case was initiated on this fact on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", "c" of Part 2 of Article 105 ("Murder of two or more persons, including a minor").

On the same day, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk reported about the detention of the suspect.

According to Izvestiya source, he turned out to be Alexander I. The identities of the victims - 29-year-old Tatyana S., a seven-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl - also became known.
