Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism Slawomir Nitras has called on the country's citizens for a consumer boycott of Tesla cars because of the company's founder, American billionaire Ilon Musk's remarks about Nazis. He made the corresponding statement on January 27 on the air of Polish radio station Tok FM.

"I can only say that probably no normal Pole should buy Tesla anymore," Nitras said on the publication's morning program.

The minister noted that it is impossible to turn a blind eye to Musk's words.

In addition, Nitras expressed the hope that the billionaire's statement will contribute to the deterioration of the results of candidate Alice Weidel from the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party in the upcoming elections to the Bundestag.

He also accused the American businessman of meddling in Germany's elections.

The day before, on January 26, Musk said at a campaign event of Germany's AdG party that the German government was taking a totalitarian approach to restricting freedom of speech in the country. The entrepreneur urged Germans to be proud of their nation and stop feeling guilty about the past.

After, January 27, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on January 26 criticized the words of American entrepreneur Ilon Musk about the guilt of Germans for the past. According to him, the billionaire's statement sounded "too familiar and ominous".
