The Russian government will index more than 40 different social payments and benefits by 9.5% from February 1. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on January 27.

"A government decree has been signed, according to which more than 40 different social payments and allowances will be indexed by 9.5% from February 1. Among them are those entitled to people with disabilities of all three groups, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and combat operations, Heroes of Russia, Heroes of Labor and others," he said at a government meeting.

In addition, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation noted that the assistance for families with children will also increase. Thus, the maternity capital for the first child will exceed Br690 thousand, for the second and subsequent - Br912 thousand. The lump-sum benefit at the birth of a child will increase to Br26.9 thousand.

In addition, the monthly payment for the care of children with disabilities will be indexed, while insurance pensions for working and non-working pensioners will be raised to the level of actual inflation for 2024.

Earlier, January 25, it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to work on the issue of increasing the amount of maternity capital depending on the birth order of the child.

Earlier, January 23, Mishustin said that the Russian government will allocate 11.3 billion rubles to the fund "Defenders of the Fatherland", which will be used for lump-sum payments to participants of the special military operation (SMO), who were injured resulting in disability.
