Luth spoke about training for agribusiness industry

Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut at the parliamentary hearings on January 27 spoke about the training of personnel in the agro-industrial complex (AIC). According to her, within the framework of the national project it is planned to organize the work of 18 thousand agro-classes across the country by 2030.
"Predominantly these are rural schools. From urban schools, of course, we in no way refuse. Competition is very big in the industry. <...> So far we have seventh and ninth grades and, respectively, tenth and eleventh grades," Lut said.
The minister noted that there are 45 higher education institutions in the department's system, 40 of which are also engaged in specialized secondary education. In total, there are about 1100 universities in the regions, which have directions related to the agrarian sphere.
In addition, the Ministry of Education is working on reducing the curriculum to speed up training, Luth pointed out.
Earlier, on December 19 last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated the importance of attracting personnel to work in agriculture. He called to talk about it constantly, to create conditions for young people to come and work in this sector of the economy with interest.
Before that, on December 10, Luth said at the XI Congress "Innovative Practice: Science plus Business" that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture expects to ensure the country's technological leadership in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) in 12 years.
