About 20 Amur tigers are in the territory of EAO

There are 18-20 Amur tigers on the territory of EAO at the moment. Their numbers are stable. This was reported in the Amur Tiger Center.

EAOMedia news agency notes that one of the predators continues to frighten residents of the Birobidzhan district. Last week he approached the villages of Opytnoe Pole, Birofeld and Krasivoe. Residents of these settlements were urged to remain vigilant and not to let their children go for walks without supervision.

In mid-January, a tiger attacked a 53-year-old fisherman near the village of Zimniki in the Dalnerechensky district of Primorye. The body of the deceased was found by his son. At that time there was a predator nearby.

Later it was reported that in Nakhodka at the quarry Pribrezhny again spotted a tiger. In this place previously found human remains. Local residents note the fearless behavior of the predator. It walks freely around the territory and is not afraid of people and machinery.
