The song "From Volga to Yenisei", which was included in the eighth studio album of the band "Lyube" "Rasseya", released in 2005, for the tribute compilation "Lyube. 35. Everything Begins Again..." was sung by singer Habib. Lyube leader Nikolai Rastorguev, songwriter Alexander Shaganov and Habib told about the work on the composition on January 27.

Critics after the release of the song do not stop arguing why "Lyube" so "reduced" the geography of Russia, limiting it to the Volga and Yenisei. For example, there were even people who decided to make a joke and made a map of the country allegedly according to the lyrics of the song, cutting the territory just along the two rivers.

"These lines are just a poetic metaphor, nothing more. Of course, both Alexander Shaganov and [composer] Igor Matvienko and I know our geography very well. The artist saw it the way he saw it, and we liked it! It's about our country, in which we live and which we sincerely love," Rastorguev explained.

Despite criticism and jokes, the song was loved by listeners and became one of the main hits of Lyube. The fact is that the composition, like Russia itself, is very cheerful, good-natured and sprawling, conveying a good mood and love for the native country without regard to borders.

"A song is not a geography lesson! In this work "Lyube", consider one beautiful river of our homeland through the chorus sends greetings to another great river of Russia. I love to listen to it for the zador and at the same time lyricism. For mobility and danceability, besides, it is joyful!" - shared Shaganov.

The poet said that he wrote the lyrics to this composition at the music festival "Slavonic Bazaar," which is held annually in Vitebsk in Belarus. After the concert in honor of the Day of Belarusian Culture, Shaganov left the hall in a spirited mood, energized by the atmosphere and music. Returning to the hotel, he wrote "From Volga to Yenisei".

"I have been listening to the group "Lyube" and all their songs since my early childhood. I really like their creativity, and my most favorite song is 'From Volga to Yenisei'. That's why I chose it," said Khabib.

He noted that he liked the drive of this composition, and he performed it with color, fun and sprawl. The singer shared that this patriotic song is in tune with him, because he often goes on tour all over the country, including beyond the Volga and Yenisei.

Earlier, on December 27, the artistic director of the Sretensky Monastery Choir Andrei Poltorukhin said that the choir performed the song "Horse " by the group "Lyube" in its own arrangement, noting that the original composition immediately became very folk, because it is understandable to the Russian people. Matvienko recalled that during one of the first performances of "Konya" Rastorguev felt so emotional that he had tears on his eyes.

The first single from the tribute album was the song "Taganskaya Station" performed by rock musician Garik Sukachev. He said that he has known Rastorguev for more than 40 years and remembers the first songs of Lyube.

Tribute "Lyube. 35. Everything starts again..." - reinterpretation of the band's songs by other musicians in their signature style. The idea to record such an album appeared more than a year ago, and more than 50 performers and bands of different generations and genres took part in the work on it.
