Five houses in Moscow renovated in the style of Soviet neoclassicism

Five residential buildings created by architect Iosif Loveyko have been restored in Moscow as part of the city's capital repair program. These are buildings located on the Kotelnicheskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya embankments, as well as on Prospekt Mira, the official website of the capital's mayor reports.
Loveyko's works in the style of Soviet neoclassicism have become part of Moscow's historical heritage.
House 25, Building 2 on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment is one of the architect's first buildings, built in 1939. In 2023, specialists restored the facade, entrances and renewed the engineering systems, paying special attention to preserving the historical appearance. They repaired the porcelain stoneware plinth, entrance groups, and gutters. The work was completed by painting the facade in the historical color.
House 2/1 on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment was built in 1954. During the works, the facade, roof, entrances, basements and internal engineering systems were renovated. In order to preserve the historical appearance, the Moscow Capital Repair Fund developed an individual project, taking into account all the features of the architectural decor.
The ensemble of three buildings on Prospekt Mira (118, 120 and 122) appeared in 1953-1958. The houses were also put in order: the facades were cleaned and repaired, the basements and drainage mains were renewed. They also restored local destructions and complex architectural decorations. In addition, balconies were tidied up, double-glazed windows and entrance doors were replaced.
