Kremlin calls presidential election in Belarus legitimate


The presidential election, which took place in Belarus, is legitimate, and Moscow rejoices at the success of its allies. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on January 27.
"We are happy for the successes of our allies. We believe that these were absolutely legitimate, well-organized, transparent elections with a more than convincing victory of the incumbent head of state [Alexander Lukashenko]," Peskov said.
