Rosgvardia special forces destroyed an AFU attack drone in Zaporizhzhya region

Special forces of Rosgvardia have destroyed an attack drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Zaporizhzhya region. This was reported by the press service of the agency on Monday, January 27.

It is noted that the Ukrainian military undertook a night attack with the help of a drone. The department said that near one of the settlements of Zaporizhzhya region was detected drone aircraft type, which was in radio silence mode and moving in the southeastern direction.

"As a result of small arms fire, the UAV changed course and went down. In the course of search and reconnaissance measures found the point of fall of the "bird", - noted in the Rosgvardiya.

It is specified that the drone was equipped with a combat charge with striking elements. As a result, it was destroyed.

On January 23, fighters of special forces of the Rosgvardiya destroyed the point of temporary deployment of the AFU in Chernihiv region. It was liquidated with the use of fiber-optic UAVs.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
