In Pakistan's Punjab province, six people were killed and 31 others injured when a tanker truck carrying liquefied gas exploded in the city of Multan. This was reported by Geo News TV channel on January 27.
According to the TV channel, the incident occurred due to gas leakage of one of the tanker truck's valves. After the explosion, a heavy fire started and debris from the car hit residential houses. It is indicated that at least 20 houses at the site of the explosion were completely destroyed and another 70 partially destroyed.
It is noted that the fire was extinguished in a few hours, more than 10 fire engines took part in extinguishing.
In addition, about 13 people are currently in serious condition.
Earlier, on January 21, in the city of Reutlingen in southwestern Germany in a gas explosion on the territory of the enterprise of the German concern Bosch killed two people. It was noted that a 52-year-old man died at the scene, and the second died of severe wounds in hospital, despite the efforts of doctors. Another employee also suffered minor injuries.
