- On February 5, the Kremlin Palace will show the premiere of the ethno-opera "Prince Vladimir"
On February 5, the State Kremlin Palace will host the premiere of the ethno-opera Prince Vladimir. The opera will be shown there the next day, and then it will move to the Ice Palace, where on February 26 the production will be seen by residents and guests of St. Petersburg. "Izvestia" visited the rehearsal and evaluated the immersion in the Middle Ages.
On the Moscow stage will celebrate its anniversary creator: composer and performer of one of the main roles, People's Artist of Russia Igor Matvienko. In the image of Prince Vladimir will appear before the audience Honored Artist of Russia Yaroslav Dronov, SHAMAN.
"At the end of summer 2022 Igor Matvienko offered me to take part in the performance, and I did not hesitate to agree. And with every rehearsal it gets more and more interesting. It's becoming clearer and clearer how it will look at the premiere - mass scenes, sets, costumes, graphics," SHAMAN told Izvestia.
Matvienko has been writing this opera for more than a decade. In the production, the composer will perform the role of the Scandinavian god Odin. This is the first role of the People's Artist in an opera performance. Soloist of the theater "Helikon Opera" Dmitry Yankovsky plays the leader of the Vikings Hakan.
"We've all been accused that there are no professionals from the world of opera, so it's not true, here's a living baritone. I am very proud that Dmitry agreed," Matvienko noted.
