According to preliminary processing data, 86.82% of voters cast their votes for incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko in the presidential election in Belarus. This was reported by BelTA agency on Monday, January 27.

The option "against all" was chosen by 3.6% of people. In addition, Sergei Syrankov collected 3.21%, Oleg Gaidukevich - 2.02% of votes, while Anna Kanopatskaya and Alexander Khizhnyak - 1.86% and 1.74%, respectively.

The final press conference of the Republican CEC "On the preliminary results of the presidential election in Belarus" will be held today at 11:00 Moscow time.

Polling stations for the main voting in the presidential election in Belarus opened throughout the country on January 26 at 8:00. The turnout at 12:00 was 56.64%, so they can be recognized as valid. At 20:00 the voting ended. The CEC noted that over 6.9 million citizens had the opportunity to vote at more than 5.3 thousand polling stations. As of 18:00 Moscow time, voter turnout amounted to 81.5%. Of these, 41.81% voted early in the period from January 21 to 25.
