US Congress cheered Trump's decision to halt aid to Ukraine

American Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green positively assessed the decision of US President Donald Trump to stop supporting Kiev. She reported about this on January 25 in the social network X.
"President Trump and our new Secretary of State Marco Rubio just stopped all foreign aid to Ukraine and other countries, except Israel and Egypt," -.stated the politician.
The US State Department was "shocked" by the decision, she said.
"[But] the American people are not, we are celebrating," Green shared.
Earlier in the day, British analyst Alexander Mercouris said that hyperinflation awaits Ukraine if the US stops funding Kiev. According to him, the country could have faced hyperinflation a long time ago, but every time it received economic aid from the US. Now that the flow of money from the West is severely restricted, the cabinet of President Vladimir Zelensky (term expired May 20, 2024) could face serious problems.
Donald Trump, by executive order, has suspended US development aid to other countries for 90 days. The rationale is that the "foreign aid industry" is not in Washington's interest, often contradicts U.S. values, and supports destabilization in the world.
Rubio on Jan. 21 called ending the conflict in Ukraine a Trump priority. For this purpose, according to the Secretary of State, "part of the preparatory work" has begun. The politician specified that both sides of the crisis should be ready to compromise.
About the readiness of the Republican to ban aid to other states from Washington earlier in the day wrote the Daily Mail newspaper, citing sources. It was noted that this would likely immediately stop the flow of new US funds to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
