Poland will host events to commemorate the victory in the Great Patriotic War

The Russian Embassy in Poland will hold a series of events in honor of the anniversary of the liberation of Polish cities from fascism, Russian Ambassador to the country Sergey Andreyev said in an interview with Izvestia.
"Up to May, the anniversaries of the liberation of major Polish cities will alternate. At the end of April, we traditionally go to Braniewo in northern Poland, near the border with the Kaliningrad region, where the largest cemetery of Soviet soldiers in Europe is located," the diplomat said.
Earlier it became known that Russia will not participate in the events organized by Poland, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Auschwitz by the Red Army, because of Warsaw's distortion of history.
