Private Otmakhov participated in the storming of an AFU stronghold in the SVO zone
Junior Sergeant Kirill Kultashev commanded a group of motorized riflemen and took part in the assault on a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Monday, January 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen while performing combat missions in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
The motorized riflemen discovered a camouflaged enemy stronghold during a mission. Initially it was decided to send a reconnaissance drone to the site and study the terrain. With the help of the drone, the Russian servicemen determined the coordinates of the firing points and launched a mortar strike on the targets.
After that, motorized riflemen entered the battle. An enemy machine-gun nest with a squad was destroyed. Some Ukrainian soldiers, having realized the pointlessness of further resistance, surrendered as prisoners.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and determination of Private Mikhail Otmakhov, the senior assault team leader, who carried out a combat mission to capture enemy positions in an important offensive direction of the Russian troops.
Using the darkness as cover, Otmakhov and his subordinates bypassed the AFU stronghold from the flank and then stormed inside. The enemy did not expect the attack and did not have time to organize. The Russian attackers eliminated some of the enemy's personnel and a machine-gun point, after which they took control of the stronghold. The AFU tried to launch a counterattack by shelling and dropping explosive devices from drones, but Otmakhov's assault group managed to hold their positions until the main forces arrived.
Earlier, on January 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Private Alexander Budayev as part of his unit participated in the liberation of one of the settlements in the zone of the SSE and discovered a camouflaged AFU stronghold.
Prior to that, on January 24, the Defense Ministry reported that junior sergeant Pavel Zyabkin commanded an automatic grenade laun cher and eliminated two machine-gun points of the AFU.
