Lukashenko reported about the arrival of 300 thousand Ukrainians in Belarus in 2024


In 2024, 300 thousand Ukrainians will come to Belarus. This was stated by President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko on January 26.
"Last year, 300 thousand people arrived in Belarus from Ukraine, secretly mostly crossing the border. When I was informed, I didn't believe it," he told reporters.
Lukashenko specified that some Ukrainians are going to Poland, while others - to Russia. Those who stay in Belarus, the authorities offer jobs, free education and health care, as well as a 50% discount on utilities.
The President also noted that the republic maintains certain contacts with the Ukrainian side.
