Russians who sell their own bank cards may become victims of fraudsters and fall under a criminal article themselves. This was reported on Sunday, January 26, by the financial expertise center of Roskachevo.

As the experts of the center explained, offers to sell your bank card are often found in game chats and various Telegram channels. On average, the price varies from three to 50 thousand rubles. However, the card often ends up in the hands of fraudsters, who then issue a loan to its owner, or make him an unwitting participant in financial pyramids and money laundering schemes. The consequences of such a transaction can be quite dire.

"When applying for a job, the security service of the organization may find out that a person was involved in a fraudulent scheme. This can be a reason for denial of employment. A criminal case is the most serious consequence," the center told RIA Novosti.

It added that it will not be easy to prove his non-involvement. If the card has already been sold, in Roskachestvo recommended to contact the bank to block it, as well as to inform the police, explaining the situation and passing the known data about the buyer.

Earlier this month it was reported that Russians have become massively deceived by issuing virtual, or tokenized, cards for smartphone payments. Swindlers convince the client to link a "left card" to an electronic wallet. The person transfers funds to the card, which are then accessed by fraudsters.
