AP reported on loyalty checks on employees wanting to work under Trump

Special "commissioners of the MAGA movement" check for loyalty of employees of federal agencies who want to work under the new U.S. President Donald Trump. The Associated Press (AP) reported on January 25.
"White House vetting teams are being sent out to government agencies to check the integrity of the Make America Great Again program and scrutinize applicants' political views and social media posts," the agency informed.
Some officials disparagingly referred to people sent by the White House to federal agencies as "MAGA commissars," referring to Soviet-era Communist Party officials.
According to three U.S. officials, "MAGA commissars" tend to be young and many do not appear to have much agency experience.
They said the fact-checkers seem to be looking for even the slightest discrepancies between the candidates and the new administration's policies. For example, a negative social media post or a photo with a Trump opponent was enough to get some applications rejected or put on hold for further review.
"No one should be surprised that those hired must be consistent with the administration's mission. No one in the private sector would ever hire someone who isn't mission-focused, and government should be no exception. More than 1,300 people were hired, and the highest standards of competence were met," said White House spokesman Steven Chung.
Earlier on Jan. 21, Trump signed an executive order that prohibits officials from making new regulations until his administration has "full control" of the federal government. Until then, there is a ban on hiring government employees, with the exception of the military and certain other categories.
In addition, the politician is going to deprive tens of thousands of people in the federal government of job security, which will allow the new administration to carry out massive layoffs and purges in the state apparatus.
