In Mexico, the bodies of 56 people were discovered in a secret burial site


In Mexico in the municipality of Casas Grandes were found dozens of secret burials, from them removed the remains of 56 people. This was reported on Saturday, January 25, reported the TV channel CBS News.
Prosecutors found the burials near the U.S. border in an area known as "El Villi," which is controlled by a criminal organization called La Linea, one of the armed branches of the Juarez cartel operating on the border.
The remains were sent to a forensic laboratory to determine the time and cause of death. Agency officials are hopeful that the victims can be identified.
Earlier, on January 20, 24 dismembered bodies were found in a mass grave in Mexico. As the TV channel reports, one woman and five men were identified. They were reported missing between 2021 and 2023. The families of these victims have already been notified and are receiving psychological support. The remaining 18 people have not yet been identified and an investigation is underway to find those responsible. The burial site was discovered using drones, radar and search dogs.
