US President Donald Trump during his speech in Las Vegas commented on the possibility of his third presidential term. His words are quoted by the TV channel NBC News.

"It would be the greatest honor of my life to serve not once, but twice, three times or four times... Headlines, headlines from fake news!" - he stated.

Trump clarified that he would "have to serve twice" after all.

Earlier, on January 24, Paul Feldman, a PhD candidate in political science and professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, called the likelihood of Trump running for a third term negligible. He noted that by the time his term ends, he will be 82 years old.

Earlier, on January 20, Trump took the oath of office, becoming the 47th president of the United States. This is his second presidential term, the first time he was the American leader from 2017-2021. In his inauguration speech, the new US president announced the beginning of the "golden age of America".

The election of the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5, 2024. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the votes, while the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%.
