- Fitzo called Zelensky's words about protests in Slovakia an interference in the country's affairs

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo on January 25 called the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expires on May 20, 2024, about protests in Slovakia an inadequate interference in the country's internal affairs.
"This is absolutely inadequate interference in the internal affairs of Slovakia, once again: one third of the people who go to the protests are Ukrainians who are making noise against the Slovak government," Fitzo said on the air of public broadcaster STVR.
He also accused Ukrainian television of creating a wrong image of Slovakia in Ukraine and of claiming that the country is supposedly on the verge of collapse. Fitzo emphasized that the country's government would never take such steps that could jeopardize the state's membership in the European Union,Gazeta.Ruspecified.
On the eve of the Ukrainian leader on his page in the social network X (former Twitter) posted a post in which he wrote: "Bratislava is not Moscow. Slovakia is Europe."
Earlier, on January 24, it became known that protests were held in Slovakia as part of a series of peaceful demonstrations called "Slovakia - Europe", organized by the initiative "Peace of Ukraine". It was noted that Fitzo spoke about the attempted coup d'état and the structure that wants to undermine the constitutional structure, but this did not happen.
