There is "emigration" from the Armenian Diaspora. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a meeting with the Armenian community of Switzerland on January 25.

"A person, being Armenian by origin, does not speak Armenian, does not read Armenian, does not live according to Armenian traditions - this is emigration,"Novosti-Armeniaquoted him as saying.

Pashinyan also noted the tendency that Armenians abroad stop associating themselves with their nation. The politician said that the only way to preserve the diaspora is to perceive the republic as their homeland.

"We often talk about emigration from Armenia lately, but we don't talk about emigration from the Diaspora: more people emigrate from the Diaspora than from Armenia," the politician added.

Earlier, on September 29, 2023, it became known that about 85 thousand people from Nagorno-Karabakh moved to Armenia.

Prior to that, on September 25, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the process of reintegration of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh into Azerbaijani society will be successful.
