An AFU militant suspected of murdering residents of Russkoye Porechnoye arrested in Kursk

The Leninsky district court of Kursk has remanded in custody a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Yevhen Fabrisenko, who is suspected of killing residents of the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in Suzhansky district of Kursk Region. This was reported on January 25 by the united press service of the judicial system of the region.

According to the provided data, in the period from September to October 2024, the figure killed at least six residents of Russkoye Porechnoye in order to destabilize the authorities. In addition, servicemen of the AFU together with Fabrisenko committed crimes against the sexual inviolability of six women, after which they killed them. The bodies were moved to the basements of houses in the village.

"Leninsky district court of Kursk 25.01.2025 in a closed court session considered the petition of the investigation on the election of a preventive measure Fabrisenko and put him in custody", - stated in the message of the press service.

The ruling can be appealed.

Earlier, on January 19, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the fact of killing civilians by AFU fighters in the Kursk village of Russkoye Porechnoye, Sujan district. The criminal case was opened under paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act resulting in intentional infliction of death to a person").

The AFU attacked the positions of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
