Defense Ministry: Russian Armed Forces hit the infrastructure of AFU airfields

The Russian army has hit the infrastructure of airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on 25 January.
In addition, Russian troops with the help of tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops and artillery hit the enemy's drone storage depots and places where they were being prepared for combat use in 132 areas.
In addition, according to the defense ministry, the Russian Armed Forces (RFAF) shot down three HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 44 aircraft-type drones during the day.
The Russian Defense Ministry noted that the Russian army has destroyed a total of 41,439 Ukrainian drones and other military equipment since the beginning of the special military operation (SMO).
On the same day, fighters of the Center group of forces took better positions in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), hitting personnel and equipment of several AFU brigades, including the Lyut assault unit. The AFU lost up to 550 fighters, five armored combat vehicles (ACVs), a tank, four field artillery guns and three vehicles there.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
