Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said on January 25 that he intends to enshrine in the republic's constitution a provision recognizing only two genders - male and female.

"I came with an initiative to include a provision in the Constitution that will state that Slovakia defines only two genders - male and female. The same thing was done by[US President Donald] Trump," he said on the air of public broadcaster STVR's Saturday Dialogues program.

According to Fitzo, the move represents a "return to sanity." He said that it has long been necessary to do this so that no one declares himself a "helicopter, cat or dog," Gazeta.Ru adds.

The Prime Minister also characterized Trump's approach to gender identity as reasonable. He added that the European Union (EU) should take into account the experience of the American leader in the fight against illegal migration.

Earlier, on January 20, Trump said during his inauguration that the official US policy is to recognize only two genders - male and female.

On December 14, American entrepreneur Ilon Musk supported the idea of life imprisonment for doctors who help children perform sex changes. It was specified that at the moment among the active military - about 15 thousand transgender (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist in Russia). Trump plans to dismiss them for medical reasons as unfit for service.

On March 31, Trump's campaign staff demanded that US President Joe Biden apologize to millions of Christians for designating Easter Sunday as Transgender Visibility Day.
