Hungary and Turkey have considered Kiev's attacks on the Turkish Stream pipeline unacceptable. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó after a telephone conversation with Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar on January 25.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister reminded that the Turkish Stream plays an important role in providing the country with natural gas. According to him, the fuel is continuously supplied through the pipeline, but it is still under various attacks that could lead to disruptions, which would hinder the safe supply of gas to Central Europe.

"Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Baraktar and I agreed that the attacks on Turkish Stream are scandalous and unacceptable. "Turkish Stream must be protected by all available means," Siyarto wrote on his Facebook page (owned by the recognized extremist company Meta, its activities are banned in Russia).

He also pointed out that it is unacceptable that the European Union (EU) and other international organizations ignore attacks that threaten the energy security of Hungary and other Central European countries. Szijjártó called on the EU to protect the country's energy sector and guarantee that no one from the outside would violate the energy security of the state and other countries in the region,Gazeta.Ruspecified.

Earlier, on January 22, a member of the European Parliament (EP) from Slovakia Lubosh Blaha said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose powers expired on May 20, 2024, is a dictator and lobbyist who acts in the interests of U.S. energy companies. The MEP supplemented his publication in his Telegram channel with a video of his speech at the EP, where he called for finding those responsible for the undermining of the two Nord Stream pipelines and the Turkish Stream attacks, as well as to stop making up rumors about Russia and exalting Zelensky, who betrayed Europe.

On January 17, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the attack on the compressor station of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) following a tip-off from the United States and the United Kingdom. At the time, he indicated that one of the reasons for this was to prevent the United States and Britain from launching a worldwide investigation into the Nord Stream incident.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also reported that Ukraine carried out an attack on a compressor station of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline in the Krasnodar region on a tip-off from the United States.

On January 11, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine tried to attack with nine drones the Russkaya compressor station in Krasnodar Region, through which the Turkish Stream gas pipeline is supplied. The agency stressed that Russian air defense forces shot down all the drones. There was no disruption of pumping
