Gladkov reported a mass attack by the AFU on the Belgorod region

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired about 50 munitions on the territory of Belgorod Region, a civilian was injured in the Oktyabrsky settlement as a result of the detonation. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on January 25.

"The man is hospitalized in the regional clinical hospital. All necessary assistance is being provided," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

The governor said that in the Belgorod district, 25 munitions were fired at the settlement of Oktyabrsky, the villages of Zhuravlevka, Otradnoye, Solntsevka, Ustinka, Chaiky and Yasnye Zori in three shelling attacks and 10 drone attacks, six of which were shot down by air defense (air defense) assets.

"Two private residences, a car, a commercial facility and a power line were damaged," Gladkov specified.

According to his information, the villages of Bogun-Gorodok and Tsapovka in Borisov district were shelled by the AFU with the use of two munitions. In addition, the Ukrainian forces fired three artillery shells at the farm Stary in the Volokonovsky district.

"In Graivoron municipal district, the village of Bezymeno was shelled with five munitions. <...> In Krasnoyaruzsky district, the village of Prilesye and the village of Grafovka were subjected to three shellings, during which 16 munitions were fired," Gladkov quenched.

He added that another 12 shells were fired by the AFU at the town of Shebekino, villages of Murom and Terezovka, farms Mukhin and Pankov.

Earlier, on January 22, Gladkov said that the regional operative staff had decided to evacuate residents of the village of Terezovkain Shebekinocity district. At a meeting of the operative staff it was decided to receive partial compensation for rent for residents of Malinovka, Otradnoye, Krasnaya Niva and Tolokonnoye settlements of Belgorod district.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
