Rosaviatsia has launched an investigation into the incident with an An-24 airplane in Khabarovsk Krai, when the aircraft rolled beyond the runway during takeoff. This was reported by the spokesman of the agency Artem Korenyako.
"The airplane has been suspended from flights, its technical condition is being assessed. The airline is expected to send a reserve board to Nelkan to transport passengers - the flight is scheduled for tomorrow, January 26," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Also in the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department on Transport of the Investigative Committee (ICS) of Russia specified that the incident is being investigated on the grounds of a crime under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of air transport").
As the agency noted in its Telegram channel, the aircraft was traveling on the route Nelkan - Nikolaevsk-on-Amur - Khabarovsk.
An An-24 passenger plane of Khabarovsk Airlines rolled off the runway at Nelkan airport earlier in the day during takeoff. There were no casualties. There were 20 passengers and three crew members on board.
