Belarus took the leading position in food supplies to the Russian Federation, trading its goods with more than a hundred other countries. On January 25, producers and Russian consumers talked about the peculiarities and impressions of Belarusian products.

Ice cream produced at Minsk Refrigerating Plant No. 2 is popular among customers due to the fact that the production keeps classical traditions, but does not forget to add new recipes.

"The basis for ice cream production is milk. About 500 kg per 1 ton of mixture is milk. Today we are literally developing, let's say, local and traditional for Slavs types [of berry additives], for example, sea buckthorn, raspberries, cranberries, black currants", - said the director of the enterprise Dmitry Bonokhov.

The ice cream factory produces 30 tons of ice cream a day - these include, for example, ice cream sticks, sherbets and eskimo. Interestingly, the sticks are supplied from Russia. Natural ingredients are used in the production. In particular, the glaze consists only of cocoa, sugar and butter.

Goods from Belarus are now maximally popular, they are sent to 154 states, and in specialized stores in Russia there are always people who buy products from this country. Buyer Vladimir Ilyanchuk shared that his family has been buying only Belarusian for five years, and does not even go to other stores

"High-quality natural products without additives, that is very tasty, homemade, as it used to be in the USSR," said the buyer Zhanna Emelyanova.

Belarusian producers compete with great competition and under strict selection struggle for the "Quality Mark" award. One of the winners is OJSC "Lidohleboprodukt" from the town of Lida in Grodno region. The enterprise produces flour, pasta and cereals from domestic grain. Sergei Yurchak, head of the flour-milling shop, pointed out that the Belarusian raw materials are of excellent quality.

"The enterprise works specifically for the domestic market, and almost every store in our country can find our flour. At the same time, our products are now present in the markets of such countries as South Korea, Georgia, Kazakhstan, as well as in Africa and Latin America," said general director of OJSC "Lidokhleboproduct" Alexander Ostrovski.

Earlier, January 22, it was reported that Belarus retains leadership in the supply of livestock products and potatoes to Russia. Most of the sown areas in the republic are occupied by cereals and vegetables. Agriculture accounts for only 8-9% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Belarus, but the volume of harvests, nevertheless, turns out to be large.
