The U.S. estimated the losses of the AFU during the conflict

During the conflict with Russia, the Kiev regime has lost more soldiers than the USA did during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. About this on January 24, said the adviser to the American President on Ukraine Keith Kellogg on air of the TV channel Fox News.
"Ukraine has already lost more in the conflict than the United States in the Korean and Vietnam wars combined," the politician pointed out.
During the Korean War (1950-1953), more than 36 thousand American soldiers died, and during the 20 years of the Vietnam War (from 1955 to 1975), the United States lost more than 58 thousand soldiers.
Kellogg added that he reported to US President Donald Trump on the current situation in Ukraine. He noted that he believes in the end of the conflict and emphasized that this should happen peacefully.
According to the politician, former head of state Joe Biden followed a "kinetic" approach, which consisted in supplying as many weapons as possible "so that the killings continue", but his successor believes that it is possible to bring the end of the conflict closer through economic measures. In this regard, Trump called on OPEC countries to reduce the cost of oil to a "fair" price of $45 per barrel.
Earlier, on January 24, the US President called high oil prices one of the obstacles to ending the Ukrainian conflict. In his opinion, if OPEC lowers the cost of the energy carrier, it will "automatically stop" the crisis in Ukraine.
In its turn, The New York Times reported that Kiev was hiding real data on the losses of the Ukrainian army for a better negotiating position. The material noted that the country's authorities are trying to block the resources that reflect the most accurate information about mortality in the country, or accuse them of spreading false information.
Prior to that, on November 13, 2024, the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Dubinsky estimated the daily losses of Ukraine in 1.5 thousand people.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
