Experts have named the professions with the highest level of English proficiency

A study by Skyeng has shown that the best knowledge of English in Russia is among IT specialists, teachers, bankers, doctors and marketers. This was reported by "Gazeta.Ru" on Saturday, January 25.

According to the survey, 67% of surveyed marketers and advertisers know the language at the level of Upper Intermediate. A little behind them are IT specialists - 63%.

The banking sector (30%) and healthcare and medicine (23%) are slightly less likely to have an above-average command of English.

Representatives of health care and medicine shared their knowledge one step higher (Advanced) - 16% estimated their knowledge in this way.

Earlier, on November 1, 2024, the British Collins Dictionary chose the adjective brat as the word of 2024, which means "characterized by confidence, independence and hedonistic attitude". According to the publisher, it has become popular due to the success of singer Charli XCX's album of the same name and has become a "cultural phenomenon".
