Rosgvardia's media relations units celebrated their 30th anniversary

The 30th anniversary of the founding of the Rosguard's media relations units took place on January 25. Specialists of the information profile in the ranks of the law enforcement forces are in contact with representatives of the media, covering the activities of the department, telling about the work of the Rosgvardeys in the zone of special military operation (SMO) and in other difficult conditions.

"From the very beginning of the SSO began to work out tasks to ensure the work of representatives of the federal media in the area of responsibility of the department's groups, and all the issues of coordination, connection within a particular location, movement, ensuring the safety of the film crew, media representatives, our civilian colleagues - all this falls on the shoulders of the information officer," explained the head of the department for interaction with the media and civil society institutions of the Federal Service of National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation (DVSMI Rosguardi

The unit for interaction of military personnel with the media was founded in 1995, when a press bureau was created in the staff of the Main Department of the Commander of the Internal Troops of the Russian Interior Ministry. At that time, the main task was to cover events in the North Caucasus region. Employees of the press service told stories about counter-terrorist operations.

With the formation of the Rosgvardia in 2016, first the Temporary Information Center appeared, and then the Rosgvardia DVSMI.

Today, information officers inform the media about the service and combat activities of the troops, coordinate the work of the department's district and territorial press services. They are also involved in informing the public through the Rosgvardiya website and social networks. Employees interact with public organizations and implement special projects.

Since the start of the SWO, this topic has become one of the leading ones for the press service of the Rosgvardia. More than 15 thousand information materials have been created.

"The most correct assessment of our work is the assessment of people. If people know what the Rosguard is, what it is for - this is an indicator of good work of the information officer," Shevchuk emphasized.

During its work, the department has received many awards, including the Grand Prix of the All-Russian contest for the best Internet resource of power structures, law enforcement agencies and veteran public organizations. Three times - in 2020, 2022, and 2024 - the Rosgvardia's Department for Interaction with the Russian Federal Guard became the winner of the Runet Award in the State and Society category.

Last December, the Department for Interaction with Media and Civil Society Institutions of the Rosguard was awarded the Runet Prize 2024in the State and Society category. The Department won the nomination thanks to its contribution to increasing the openness of law enforcement agencies to the public.
