Russian Health Minister Murashko congratulated medical students on Student Day
Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko on Saturday, January 25, congratulated medical students on the Day of Russian Students.
"On your diligence and responsibility largely depends what our medicine and country will be in the future. Qualified specialists in the field of healthcare will always be in demand, because health - is the most valuable thing a person has, and the health of citizens is the basis for the well-being of the state," the text of the congratulation reads.
According to Murashko, now almost 350 thousand students study in medical universities.
In 2024, more than 140 thousand yesterday's schoolchildren entered the programs of secondary medical education - this is 77% more than ten years, Murashko said.
"Dear friends, I wish all of you successful studies, further successes, new achievements and, of course, good health. Be persistent, achieve your goals, your leadership qualities will allow you to achieve high performance in the health care system and personal growth. I congratulate you," he concluded.
In early November, it was reported that the Khabarovsk region decided to establish a one-time payment of Br100 thousand for female students of universities and vocational training institutions under the age of 23. Earlier, a similar measure with larger amounts was introduced in Ivanovo, Chelyabinsk and Perm regions. The regional authorities believe that this will help to reverse the trend of postponing childbearing until later.
