Junior Sergeant Pavel Zyabkin commanded an automatic grenade launcher (AGS) and eliminated two machine-gun points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Saturday, January 25, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen in carrying out combat missions in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

Zyabkin's calculation moved into position when the junior sergeant detected two firing positions of Ukrainian machine gunners. He gave a command to the unit, the enemy was eliminated, after which the Russian attack aircraft were able to approach and clear the AFU stronghold unhindered.

During the battle, Zyabkin also detected a group of enemy infantry on a vehicle that was approaching the AFU positions as reinforcements. The junior sergeant destroyed the enemy group, which allowed the Russian troops to gain a foothold on the new borders.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the competent and professional actions of Private Alexander Klimovich, who performed tasks to deliver logistical equipment to Russian units. During another trip, his vehicle was attacked by AFU artillerymen and mortarmen. After conducting a number of maneuvers on a difficult terrain, Klimovich managed to get the vehicle out from under fire and deliver the cargo to the positions of the Russian units safely.

Earlier, on January 24, the Defense Ministry reported that Sergei Voevodin took a vehicle with a cargo for the Russian group of troops out from under AFU artillery fire.

Prior to that, on January 23, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Private Ilfat Garipov noticed the approach of a sabotage group of the AFU when he was on duty at an observation post. Having decided to ambush the approaching enemy, Garipov found a suitable place to hide. When the saboteurs came closer, the private opened fire, causing serious damage to the enemy.
