A four-story apartment building collapsed in Turkey

In Turkey in the province of Konya on Friday, January 24, a four-story apartment building collapsed, there may be people under the rubble. This was reported by the newspaper Yeni Şafak.

One of the eyewitnesses filmed the moment of the collapse on his phone. The footage shows passers-by screaming and running away from the collapsing building.

After information about three or four people under the rubble, an emergency search and rescue operation was launched.

The causes of the collapse of the apartment building are being established.

Earlier, on October 29, 2024, in the Argentine city of Villa Gesell in the province of Buenos Aires collapsed ten-storey building, which housed an apart-hotel Dubrovnik. At the time of the fall of structures, which began with the slabs of the tenth floor, there were workers in the building, four of them managed to escape from the scene. There was no precise information about the presence of guests in the hotel.
