Public transportation fare prices will increase in Irkutsk from February

In Irkutsk from February 1, the price of travel in municipal public transport will go up. According to the press service of the city administration, the cost of a trip will be 35 rubles.

"The increase in fare prices is due to the constant rise in the cost of fuel, spare parts, tires, components, as well as the obligation of employers to increase employee salaries," - explained the authorities of the decision.

As IrkutskMedia IA specifies, the fare in commercial passenger transport will be 35-40 rubles in the daytime and 40-45 rubles in the evening.

Heads of Irkutskavtotrans and Irkutskgortrans note that prices for fuel and lubricants are in constant growth. The increase in tariffs will allow the companies to continue operating at the same level and maintain competitive salaries of drivers and repair specialists.

The prices are approximately the same in the cities of neighboring regions: in Krasnoyarsk you will have to pay 32-44 rubles for a fare, in Chita - 30-42 rubles, in Novosibirsk - 35-45 rubles.
