Three-time Olympic biathlon champion Tarjei Bø has announced the end of his career


Norwegian biathlete, three-time Olympic champion Tarjei Bø announced after winning the sprint at the World Cup stage in Antholz about the end of his career.
"Promised myself that the next time I'm back on top, I'll tell you I'm retiring," NRK quoted him as saying on January 24.
The athlete noted that all winter he felt that it was time to end his career, despite the upcoming Olympics. Bø also added that he wants to spend more time with his wife and family.
The Norwegian athlete has three golds, two silvers and one bronze at the Olympics. In addition, he has 11 gold, seven silver and nine bronze medals at the World Championships. He was also the overall World Cup winner.
On January 18, his younger brother, five-time OI champion Johannes , announced that he would end his career at the end of the season. At the World Championships, he reached the top step of the podium 20 times, 12 times he won silver and five more times he won bronze medals.
