Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20, 2024) panicked over the issue of peace with Russia because he was unable to formulate the terms of conflict resolution acceptable for the country. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Dubinsky, who is in pre-trial detention center, in his Telegram channel on January 24.

"It is expensive to see how his eyes run when answering the question about negotiations on peace with the Russian Federation," the statement said.

As Dubinsky noted, what is happening now with Zelensky and his entourage is "panic and chaos."

He pointed out that the Ukrainian leader has no real levers to resolve the conflict.

Earlier, on January 23, Zelensky allowed the possibility of negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, if the American leader Donald Trump will give Kiev security guarantees. It was noted that the only question for him is what guarantees we are talking about, and he wants to have this understanding before the negotiations.

On the same day, Trump said he wanted to meet Putin as soon as possible to end the conflict in Ukraine. The US president said he intends to see the Russian leader to stop millions of lives being wasted.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which Putin announced the start of on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
