More than 30% of surveyed Russians approve of schoolchildren's interest in part-time work

Among the Russians surveyed, 37% are sure that for a successful career a child should start earning money at school age. Last year there were 19% of such respondents. This is stated in the results of the research of the financial marketplace "Vyberu.ru", which were read by "Izvestia" on January 26.

Thus, 6% of respondents expressed the opinion that a child should be rewarded with money for various tasks from the age of five, 7% are sure that the optimal age to get acquainted with the first earnings - 10 years, 8% chose the age of 10-14 years, and 16% of respondents assume that the first money a child should start earning at the age of 14-16 years. The remaining 63% assumed that children should start receiving money not earlier than 18 years old.

At the same time, only 62% of respondents loyal to school part-time work admitted that they themselves bring up their children in this way. 21% of this group of respondents encouraged their children starting from the younger grades: they were offered a "salary" for cleaning, washing dishes or other household chores. The average amount received by children aged six to nine for such tasks is 97 rubles.

At the same time, the survey has shown that tasks for this age group, involving more effort, are more expensive. For example, the average payment for walking the dog is 164 rubles, and a trip to the store - 127 rubles. Parents value their children's outstanding successes the highest: for winning competitions or school contests they are ready to pay their children a "bonus" of up to 3 thousand rubles. A quarter of respondents from this group noted that schoolchildren themselves often come to them with "business ideas", among the most common ones: selling apples and berries picked in parks, reselling old toys to classmates, drawing to order and teaching peers different sports.

At the same time, 32% of respondents, who advocate schoolchildren's work and practice their beliefs, admitted that they started paying money for performed tasks to children from the age of 10. Among the most popular ways to "earn" among this age group are: washing the family car (parents on average estimate this service at Br350), household help - Br230, lessons with younger siblings - Br320. Also this group of survey participants tends to help look for external part-time jobs for children during vacations. The experts found out that a child employed on vacation, according to parents, earns Br37 thousand on average. Among the common types of such part-time jobs: courier services, tutoring, work as an administrator.

At the same time, 47% of respondents allow their children to work from the age of 14. According to them, the most popular types of part-time work for this age group are tutoring (up to Br1 thousand per hour), work in a courier service (Br1 thousand per shift), unofficial work in the office of relatives or friends (average salary - Br15 thousand per month) and providing services of a copywriter or SMM-specialist (average salary - Br12 thousand per month).

Earlier, January 24, it was reported that almost a third (27.2%) of Russians with children consider online shopaholism as a serious problem for the younger generation. This follows from the results of a study by the analytical center A2:Research. The majority of parents (68.4%) indicated that their children first made an online order at the age of seven to 12 years old, 31.6% - from 13 to 15 years old.
