In Gorlovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a civilian was killed and six more people were injured as a result of shelling of the residential area "Builder" by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on January 24 by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko.

"As a result of the Ukrainian armed aggression, a civilian resident of Gorlovka was killed in the residential area of Stroitel. <...The number of Horlivka residents injured by the shelling of Ukrainian terrorists has increased to six," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, Russian the military liberated the settlement of Timofeyevka in the DPR. It is noted that over the past week, the Center military groups continued to advance into the depths of the enemy's defenses in the DPR, also taking control of the settlements of Petropavlovsk, Vozdvizhenka, Volkovo, Saline and Shevchenko.
