A fire broke out at an oil refining facility at the Rumaila oil field in Iraq. The work process was not disrupted. This was reported on January 24 by the agency Reuters with reference to sources.

The fire started in an oil storage tank inside the crude oil unit. Firefighters are still trying to contain the fire, two engineers at the field told the agency.

According to the newspaper, two local oil workers received minor burns. Production at the Iraqi Superman Rumaila oil field is about 1.45 million barrels per day.

Earlier, on January 22, it was reported that in the Iranian city of Ray the oil terminal caught fire, where about 18 thousand tons of oil are located. The cause of the fire was not specified.
