The cleaning of the beaches of the Sea of Azov from fuel oil after an emergency with tankers in the Kerch Strait has been completed in the Slavyansky district of the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced on January 24 by the operational headquarters of the region.

"On the morning of January 24, monitoring groups surveyed the coast on foot and the water area on boats. According to the results, no new emissions or petroleum products were found in the water," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that on January 23, specialists collected about 70 kg of fragments of petroleum products and contaminated algae near the village of Achuyevo. 40 specialists participated in the cleaning work.

According to operstab, all the collected oil products were placed in containers and sealed. They will be taken out for recycling in the near future.
