- Chemezov announced the start of mass production of the MC-21 aircraft in 2026.

Serial production of the MC-21 passenger aircraft may begin in 2026. This was announced on January 24 by Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.
He noted that this year it is necessary to complete the certification tests of the aircraft.
"This year, I hope we will complete all the flights. There are a lot of flights there. And starting next year, serial production will already begin," Chemezov told reporters.
Earlier, on December 12, 2024, Ivan Batanov, Director of the Network and Revenue Management Department at Aeroflot PJSC, reported that href="https://iz.ru/1806111/2024-12-12/aeroflot-ozhidaet-postavku-pervykh-samoletov-ms-21-v-2026-godu " target="_blank">the first deliveries of MC-21 aircraft are expected in 2026.
Before that, on December 5, it became known that the Ministry of Industry and Trade reduced the number of aircraft engines for the promising SSJ-100, MS-21 and Tu-214, which will be produced in Russia until 2026. Production plans have shifted to the right, and aircraft manufacturers will receive 128 power plants instead of the 192 planned in the aviation industry development program until 2030.
On November 20, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that in 2025 the delivery of the MC-21 aircraft to the airline is expected. Plans to start next year the serial production of the MS-21 was also confirmed by Chemezov in October.
