Experts named the leading cities for the sale of new cars on credit
By the end of 2024, the leaders in the sale of new cars on credit were Moscow and the Moscow region, Tatarstan and St. Petersburg. This was announced by the Director of Development and sales of Avto. Business" Daniil Shkurygin at the conference on January 24, the correspondent of Izvestia reports.
The highest approval rate for new car loans last year was recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan (above 80%). The Moscow Region ranks fifth, while Moscow ranks ninth with a score of 69%.
Used cars were most often bought on credit in Tatarstan, Moscow and the Moscow Region, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory. At the same time, loans for used cars were most often approved in Tatarstan (74%), Bashkortostan and the Perm Region. The Moscow region is the sixth in this rating (56%), Moscow is the tenth (45%).
"Against the background of an increase in the key rate and an increase in recycling, which lead to higher prices for cars and, as a result, lower sales, there are positive trends. In particular, the extension of the government's preferential car loan program. For 2025, 35 billion rubles have been allocated for it, which is about 50 thousand cars," said Shkurygin.
